A summary of the San Diego County Public Health Order, effective May 1, is provided below:

🏖 Beaches

– All parking lots shall be closed.

– Beaches shall be used solely for walking, running, hiking, equestrian or bicycle riding.

– Swimming, body surfing, boogie boarding, surfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving are allowed.

-Beaches where social distancing requirements cannot be effectively implemented shall close.

⛵️ 🚤🛶 Recreational boating

-Only single family or households may participate in recreational boating in lakes, bays, and oceans

– Fishing is also allowed from a boat or kayak.

🏞 Public Parks

– Each public park and recreation area shall submit (online), post and comply with their protocol.

-Parks that cannot enforce physical distancing shall close.

– Public Restrooms: Are monitored and shall be cleaned and disinfected every two hours or as needed depending on use.

– Only people in the same household can participate in active sports activities at parks.

– Playgrounds will remain closed.

– Parking lots at parks may open at 50% capacity.

⛳️ 🏌️‍♀️ Golf Courses

– Golf courses are allowed to operate once their Physical Distancing & Safety Plan is submitted to the County (at least two days prior to reopening).

– Required to maintain physical distancing

– Medical checks for both staff and individuals entering site

-Golf cart usage is prohibited unless necessary to meet ADA requirements

😷 Face coverings

– Face Coverings will be required in public when within 6ft of non-household members.

– Children under 2 and individuals with medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a face covering are exempt.

– May 8 is when facial coverings will be required for essential businesses.
