San Marcos celebrated the launch of NCTD+, an on-demand van service by North County Transit District, with a ribbon-cutting in North City on Tuesday. The service provides rides within a 10-square-mile zone (first passenger $5, additional passengers $2.50 each). Connect to SPRINTER or BREEZE! station for only $2.50 per passenger. Children 5 and under ride free with a paying adult, and minors minors over 13 can ride unaccompanied. Passengers can book via a free app, with estimated arrival times and real-time tracking. The service, including 10 ADA-equipped vans, will expand to Vista, Fallbrook, Pala, and Oceanside by April 2026.
