Oceanside, Calif.- April 29, 2022—Visitors thirsty for local flavor have a new way to explore Oceanside with the launch of Visit Oceanside’s new O’side Sips passport. More than a typical ale trail, O’side Sips guides visitors to craft breweries and microbreweries as well as wine-tasting rooms, craft coffee stops, tea shops, distilleries, homegrown spirits and everything in between.
“Oceanside’s authentic spirit and ingenuity has expanded into the craft beverage scene, and we want to give visitors an easy way to discover all the unique and notable places where they can enjoy a handmade beverage,” said Tanner Yates, director of marketing for Visit Oceanside. “Visitors can start their day with coffee made from locally-roasted beans, enjoy a hand-pressed juice mid-day then progress on to a long list of handcrafted and locally-sourced beers, wines and cocktails.”
Designed as a passport program, O’side Sips is easily accessible via an online link and sign-up is free. The easy-to-use mobile passport is web-based, so there is no need to download an app. Participants can scroll through a list of participating venues, plot their beverage routes on a map, access exclusive discounts and accumulate rewards points for checking in at O’side Sips locations. Reward points can be redeemed at the California Welcome Center Oceanside for prizes such as travel tumblers, car coasters and other fun swag.
“To make this a true craft beverage trail, the locations featured have a significant focus on craft, house-made drink offerings,” said Yates. “We are excited to have a large number of our Oceanside locations featured and expect to add many more as the program grows.”
O’side Sips currently features 29 locations primarily along Oceanside’s three-mile Coast Highway corridor with many stops within walking distance of each other. Participants are encouraged to drink responsibly and to celebrate the trail by using the hashtag #OsideSips and tagging @VisitOceanside when posting on social media from the locations.
