Public Works crews are nearing completion of a new scoreboard at the Kit Carson Park Sports Center.Several weeks ago, City crews began the challenge of installing a massive 30 by 11-foot scoreboard by pouring footings, customizing brackets, fabricating metal framing and mounting this upgraded amenity. We are fortunate to have Senior Maintenance Technicians, Shannon Bullock and Charles Hernandez that possess the technical skills and abilities to do this project entirely in house.
Once completed, the Escondido Sports Center’s soccer arenas will boast refreshed turf, professional dasher boards, player and penalty boxes, elevated grandstands, stadium lighting and a new scoreboard that participants and spectators alike will enjoy for years to come!
