Late last night, California Governor Gavin Newsom amended the shelter-in-place order from earlier in the evening to specifically exempt construction activities. Prior to the revision, the shelter-in-place order exempted only the construction sectors identified in the Trump Administration’s list of federal Critical Infrastructure Sectors.
With this change, needed infrastructure across California will be delivered while taking measures to protect workers and the general public from the spread of Coronavirus. AGC San Diego will continue to work with State and Local governments to implement updated protocols, so that contractors can safely complete these essential projects.
