COURSE REPORT: Playing in 25-30 mph wind conditions, the No. 8/8 Cal State San Marcos women’s golf team sits three strokes out of first place after day one of the CCAA Championships with a 30-over 318. Madison Murr and Makenna Cabardo carded CSUSM’s lowest rounds and are tied for fourth place.

FIRST TEE
After carding a 4-over 40 on the front, Cabardo rebounded with a 2-over 38 on the backend to finish with a 6-over 78.
Murr turned in the exact opposite of her teammate Cabardo with a 4-over on the back nine and 2-over on the front nine.
Lauren Hickam is in seventh place with a 9-over 79 after recording back-to-back birdies on holes 8 and 9.
Breann Horn carded an 11-over 83 and is tied for 18th place.
Diana Delgado followed with a 12-over 84 and sits in 23rd place.
