North County Ford Partners with VCC to “Stuff the Truck” for New Resource Hub

VISTA, CA – Vista Community Clinic (VCC) is preparing to open a new Resource Hub to connect patients and families with nutritious food and personal hygiene items, and North County Ford is helping ensure its shelves are stocked from day one.

Throughout September, North County Ford will host a month-long “Stuff the Truck” campaign benefiting the new VCC Resource Hub. Community members are invited to drop off nonperishable food and hygiene products at the dealership at 450 W. Vista Way in Vista, from September 1 through September 30.

“Food insecurity has a very real impact on health, and we see that connection every day in the communities we serve,” said Fernando Sañudo, CEO of VCC. “Our new Resource Hub will give us another way to address the needs that can make it difficult for patients and families to stay healthy. We are incredibly grateful to North County Ford for stepping up to help us launch this resource and inviting the entire community to be part of it.”

VCC’s new Resource Hub builds upon the organization’s ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and other social factors that affect health. Through its existing Mobile Market distributions, VCC has seen significant and continued demand for access to fresh produce, groceries and other basic necessities.

The Resource Hub will create a dedicated location where patients and families can access nutritious food and essential items, including opportunities to connect food support more closely with healthcare services. By improving access to healthy foods, VCC aims to help patients better manage and prevent chronic conditions and stay well.

Once operational, the Resource Hub is initially expected to open three days per week and serve approximately 30 to 50 patients or families per day, representing an estimated 4,680 to 7,800 instances of nutritional support each year.

North County Ford’s Stuff the Truck campaign will help provide the initial supply of food and hygiene essentials for the new space. Requested donations include shelf-stable foods such as canned tuna and chicken, peanut butter, beans, rice, pasta, oatmeal, cereal, soups, canned fruits and vegetables, as well as unopened hygiene and personal-care products.
