North County Visits Alta Vista Gardens for Fall Festival

People came from all over North County came to pay a visit to this years Children’s Fall Fun Festival at the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens in Brengle Terrace Park Saturday, October 14. The Scarecrow building contest was the highlight of the day. Grandma Valarie Wanned and her grandchildren Austynn (4) and Jared (3) were chosen for 1st Place in the Scarecrow Contest. Second Place Imelda’s Suns, and Third Place Ulisses Colores, Yuliana​, Silvia Gonzalez.

There was bobbing for apples, a beanbag toss, worms discovery and decorating pumpkins. The Pride of Vista Lions booth was busy painting faces on the children by the Vista Lions Queen and her Princesses.

The musical talent was Vic Moraga at the Tailspin Kite Plaza. He is a singer, guitarist, songwriter and storyteller. In 2016 “Number One Music”, (NIM), Vic Moraga was voted as the 11th top singer/songwriter in the USA.

The Festival included food for sale, a great Plant Sale, and vendors. Adults and children walked the 14 acres of Gardens filled with rare plants, Breceda sculptures and intriguing water features.
