The excitement continues to build for the State Street Commons project at 2752 State Street as it nears completion in fine fashion. Watching the re purposing of this venerable building has been both interesting and rewarding.
According to Fabric Investments principal, Brendan Foote, “We are preserving the historical and architectural integrity of all three buildings which includes the Quonset hut on the north and the two Butler-framed buildings to the south.” In fact, the Quonset hut is now front and center more so than it was before and will truly initiate discussions related to the building’s place in history dating back over 60 years.
The 13,500 square foot office space is going to be occupied by Warner Bros. Games for a video game development studio. They will be moving in at the end of the first quarter 2021. the office space combines and spans the two butler framed buildings with the addition of a glass sky-bridge. All three buildings will have retail at the ground floor.
Construction is anticipated to be completed at the end of October 2020 and tenants will start to build out their spaces thereafter. Fabric Investments anticipates that the project will be fully open in Spring of 2021. Some retail space remains for the middle building.
