With spring in the air, the City of San Marcos is looking for summer seasonal recreation leaders, lifeguards, head guards, swim instructors and cashiers to watch over city summer camps and pools for summer 2019. Application due dates vary by position.
“San Marcos summer jobs offer a chance to become part of an exciting team that helps people have fun and make memories,” said Parks and Recreation Director Buck Martin.

With a schedule of about 20 hours per week, pay scales vary and start at $12 an hour.

“With so many great summer camps, swim lessons and special events planned, it is important to make sure we have qualified and trained staff in place now,” continued Martin.

Benefits of these positions include becoming a community leader, making a difference, and meeting new friends in a variety of outdoor work environments. Employees joining San Marcos lifeguards are also trained first responders and are involved in water safety outreach programs.
