Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is excited to announce the fourth event in its celebrated summer block party series, Street Level! Set to take place on Friday, August 23rd from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Street Level Vol 2.4 brings together the community for an evening of out-of-the-box music and art, inspired by OMA’s current exhibition More Disruption: Representational Art in Flux.
More Disruption showcases the work of 50 artists who are redefining traditional representational art through abstraction, web-based imagery, and socio-political themes. Echoing the exhibition’s spirit, OMA has curated a lineup of musicians who thrive in improvisational and experimental spaces, offering fresh interpretations of traditional sounds. Guests will enjoy music by the genre-bending North County-based Montalban Quintet and Nicey Nice featuring Marcelo Radulovich, food from Epic Eatz Food Truck, and connect with artists featured in More Disruption, Miguel Camacho-Padilla and David Fobes.
This year’s summer event series, Street Level Vol. 2, transforms the museum into a lively showcase inspired by OMA’s current exhibitions, featuring performers, DJs, and artists from O’side and beyond. Bring your family, meet new friends, or roll in with your crew to create your O’riginal experience with the artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs in your backyard at OMA’s biggest social event series of the summer.
