On 2/16/21, the County reported 698 new positive COVID cases. A month ago, we had four times that number. The 14-day average of positive cases among those tested is 5.6%. To keep our community safe and healthy, please continue to take precautions with face coverings in public, extra hand washing, isolating and getting tested if you have symptoms.
SD County Still in the Purple Tier
Although the situation is improving, San Diego County is still in the “widespread” Purple Tier. The state updates the Tier assignments each week. With sustained efforts on everyone’s part, we can get to the less restrictive Red Tier, which will mean modified indoor dining, indoor museums, and indoor gym availability.
