On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10:06 pm, Oceanside Police responded to a shooting call near the 3500 block of College Boulevard in Oceanside. One male adult was shot in the foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital for what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, approximately 5’10”, 180 lbs., wearing a black leather jacket with white letters riding a white e-bike (stolen from the victim). The suspect was last seen fleeing in the riverbed Westbound towards El Camino Real. San Diego Sheriff’s Department helicopter (ASTREA) is flying in the area, assisting officers with aerial support in the search for the suspect. Carlsbad Police are also aiding in the search.
