Oceanside Unified School District has earned an “A” rating in the 2025 School Bond Transparency Report Card released by the San Diego County Taxpayers Association. The annual report evaluates how well school districts communicate and disclose information related to voter-approved bond spending.
The rating places Oceanside Unified among the highest-performing districts in the county when it comes to making bond program information accessible and easy for the public to understand. The assessment looks at factors such as the availability of Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee materials, financial audit transparency, updates on construction progress, and clarity around project spending.
The report emphasizes that transparency is about ensuring the community can see how funds are being used and how project commitments made during bond campaigns are being carried out. Oceanside Unified’s strong score indicates consistent posting of meeting agendas and minutes, access to current and past audits, and regular updates on bond-funded improvements across campuses.
The report highlights whether districts are providing the public with the information necessary to review and understand how bond dollars are managed. Oceanside Unified’s “A” grade signals a solid commitment to open communication and accountable stewardship of community investment in school facilities.
