Police Seek Witnesses of Motorcycle Collison on Carlsbad Boulevard

On October 14, at 16:35 p.m., Officers from the City of Carlsbad Police Department responded to the 4600 block of Carlsbad Boulevard regarding a motorcyclist seriously injured after colliding with a Toyota Tundra.

On arrival, Officers found a motorcycle with severe damage lying in the roadway and a Toyota Tundra with extensive damage both on on Carlsbad Boulevard.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries from the collision and was pronounced deceased during transportation by the Fire Department to a local area hospital.

The motorcyclist was identified as a 19-year-old male from San Marcos. The driver of the Tundra was identified as a 38-year-old male from Grand Terrace.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.

Investigators are requesting that anyone who witnessed the collision please call Carlsbad Police Department’s Accident Investigator, Corporal Travis Anderson at 760-931-2208.

Northbound Carlsbad Boulevard at Cannon Road was closed during the investigation.
