Public Arts Commission – “Kites Over Vista” Seeks Approval from Council

The Public Arts Commission’s “Kites Over Vista” project has provided a venue to showcase sculptures in public areas of downtown Vista for the past ten years. In September 2017, staff released a “Call to Artists” for the tenth exhibit of the “Kites Over Vista” display. Twelve “Kite” models were submitted by ten artists. On February 6, 2018, the Public Arts Commission selected six artworks for public display.

Staff seeks City Council approval of the selected artworks February 27, 2018 at City Council Meeting. MEETING Sufficient funds exist for the project in the Fiscal Year 2017/18 Recreation & Community Services budget.
