Ready to try Composting?

Composting is nature’s way of recycling. It turns “organic waste,” including food scraps, leaves and grass trimmings, into a valuable organic fertilizer. Composting at home keeps organic waste out of the landfills and produces high-quality organic fertilizers for our gardens and ecosystems.

To help residents compost at home, the City of Carlsbad offers FREE composting workshops and low-cost compost bins to Carlsbad residents.

Free Composting Workshop

The City of Carlsbad has partnered with reEarth to host a series of high-quality, hands-on composting workshops that are FREE to Carlsbad residents.
