Rep. Mike Levin to Host Call with Select Committee on the Climate

San Juan Capistrano, CA – U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA), a member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, will host a press call today withCommittee Chair Kathy Castor (D-FL) and local leaders to discuss their recently released comprehensive congressional climate action plan. The House Select Committeeon the Climate Crisis was formed at the beginning of the 116th Congress to deliver comprehensive policy recommendations to other House committees on how to substantially and permanently reduce greenhouse gas pollution. The report includesspecific proposals that would set the United States on a path to achieve net-zero carbon pollution by no later than 2050, save over 60,000 lives per year due to reduced air pollution, and save nearly $8 trillion by 2050.
