WHAT: On Thursday, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (CA-49) will host U.S. Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Administrator Amit Bose to highlight the challenges facing the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor (LOSSAN Corridor) due to coastal erosion. Rep. Levin, Administrator Bose, and local officials will ride the COASTER commuter train from San Diego to Solana Beach and discuss the urgent need to secure the bluffs and relocate a section of the tracks in Del Mar. They will also visit San Clemente to discuss the temporary closure of rail service in South Orange County and view the track stabilization project.
Rep. Levin and Administrator Bose will first board the NCTD COASTER train at the Sorrento Valley train station at 9:30 a.m. They will disembark at Solana Beach and hold the first press conference at the Solana Beach train station at 10:00 a.m. They will then depart for the OCTA Track Stabilization Project and view the project at 11:50 a.m, and hold a final press conference at San Clemente State Beach at 12:00 p.m. with LOSSAN Agency and North County Transit District (NCTD) Chair Jewel Edson, Senator Catherine Blakespear, and other local officials

10 a.m.: First press conference at Solana Beach train station: 105 N Cedros Ave, Solana Beach, CA 92075 (NOTE: Transportation will not be provided from Solana Beach to San Clemente. Press must use their own mode of transportation)
11:50 a.m.: Rep. Levin and FRA Administrator Bose will view the OCTA Track Stabilization Project at San Clemente State Beach
12:00 p.m.: Second press conference at San Clemente State Beach: 225 Avenida Calafia, San Clemente, CA 92672
