Deputies of the Vista Sheriff’s Station conducted a driving under the influence and driver’s license checkpoint on July 31, 2020 in the 700 block of East Vista Way, in the city of Vista.
Results of the DUI Checkpoint:
Total Cars through the Checkpoint: 1215
Total Cars into the Checkpoint: 520
Cars Sent to Secondary for Evaluation: 29
D.U.I Evaluations: 3
D.U.I Alcohol Arrests: 1
There were 3 vehicles impounded for unlicensed driver and having a suspended driver’s license. There were 12 citations issued for various driver’s license violations.
Funding for this checkpoint is provided to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
