Retail Theft Arrests – Vista Seven Arrested in Retail Theft Operation

This holiday season, the Vista Sheriff’s Station is teaming up with local businesses to find and arrest shoplifters.

On Thursday, November 30, Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a retail theft operation at the Target stores located in the 1700 block of University Drive and 3100 block of Business Park Drive in Vista.

Working with Target’s Loss Prevention Unit, deputies were able to monitor several individuals in the act of stealing merchandise from the stores.

Deputies arrested seven people for shoplifting:

Allen McNabb (DOB 10/05/1993)
Martha Madrigal Villanueva (DOB 12/09/1984)
Isaiah Mojica (DOB 08/17/2000)
Alejandro Villegas (DOB 09/15/1973)
Heather Ovalle (DOB 07/07/1989)
Isaiah Cruz (DOB 09/27/1997)
Alex Valadez (DOB 05/22/1988)

In all, about $1,800 worth of stolen merchandise from Target was recovered in this operation.

Deputies also recovered more than $2,800 of merchandise stolen from a Home Depot store.

Last month, the Vista Sheriff’s Station conducted another retail theft operation which resulted in five arrests and the recovery of about $1,000 in stolen merchandise.
