In previous columns, I’ve had the opportunity to share the impact of both the chamber’s Rising Star Program and Oceanside Leadership Academy (OLA). While each program serves a unique purpose, this spring they came together in a way that created an extraordinary opportunity for three exceptional students.
Through the Rising Star Program, we recognize remarkable high school students who have overcome adversity while pursuing their educational and career goals. Their resilience and determination continue to inspire all of us, making them ideal candidates to take the next step in their leadership journey through OLA.
This inaugural partnership between the Rising Star Program and Oceanside Leadership Academy was made possible through the generous support of Genentech, which sponsored scholarships for three Rising Star students to participate in the Spring 2026 OLA cohort.
