Rodriguez Advances to NCAA Championships
INDIANAPOLIS – It’s official! Senior Natalie Rodriguez will be the first Cal State San Marcos women’s track & field student-athlete to compete at the NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships at Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, N.C. on May 24-26.
Rodriguez, the CCAA Champion in the 1500 and 5,000 meter runs, will compete in both of those races in North Carolina
. She will race in the 1500 prelims on Thursday, May 24. If she advances to the finals in the 1500, she will run that race and the 5,000 meters on Saturday, May 26.
Last November, Rodriguez finished third at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships to become CSUSM’s first NCAA Division II All-American.
