San Diego Sheriff News Release: Missing Person at risk San Marcos Station

On May 25, 2020 at about 1:53 pm, San Marcos Sheriff’s deputies received a radio call regarding a missing person at risk. The reporting party told deputies her 34-year-old son, Kyle Meekins, left the residence on foot. Meekins is special needs and was last seen at approximately 11:30 hours. Meekins does not have access to a cell phone, and he does not know how to operate a vehicle. Deputies completed and distributed missing person flyers. ASTREA assisted with air support but the missing person is still outstanding. Deputies along with Search and Rescue is actively searching for Meekins. Meekins was last seen wearing a burgundy “Polo” shirt, black shorts, and black slip-on slippers. Meekins may appear hunched while walking.
