Construction completed for the sound wall
We’re happy to share that the second sound wall along Discovery Street, adjacent to Lakeview Mobile Estates, was completed last week! The team is now working on the finishing details for the irrigation system near the sound wall. The wall was built to reduce road noise and improve the quality of life for residents in Lakeview Mobile Estates as part of the widening of Discovery Street from two lanes to four lanes.
The wall was constructed with tan, split face blocks, consistent with other walls throughout the City and will include landscaping. A sidewalk and bike lanes will be added along Discovery Street for Creek area residents to better connect to the surrounding trails.

Utilities update
The Creek construction team is almost done removing all the poles on Discovery Street. SDG&E has recently removed three poles and AT&T is making progress on their portion of utility work. Once this is complete, the Creek project team will be able to focus on finishing the work on the Via Vera Cruz bridge. Thank you for your continued patience as we work towards completing the bridge, as quickly as possible.
