Get ready, San Marcos! Beginning July 25, the beloved San Marcos Farmers Market is making a major move from its traditional Tuesday slot to a lively new time: Friday nights from 4–8 PM!
Still located along North City Drive between Campus Way and Redel Road, right across from Cal State San Marcos, the Market is getting a fresh vibe that’s perfect for winding down the week. With the energy of North City’s buzzing urban core, this reimagined experience will deliver everything you love – plus a little extra spark.
Expect fresh local produce, handmade goods, delicious street food, live music, great North City restaurants, and the kind of community energy that makes Friday nights something to look forward to.
“It’s an upbeat, welcoming scene where great food and good company set the tone for the weekend, where the entire community – residents, neighbors, students, and visitors alike can come together to eat, shop, and hang out,” said Melanie Jamil, Event Director for the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce. “There’s just something about Friday nights in North City – good food, great people, and that unmistakable Friday night buzz.
Market Manager Fabian Huertas, who has years of experience running farmers markets, added: “This is more than a farmers’ market, it’s a chance to connect with the community and support small businesses in a dynamic setting. We’re bringing a new rhythm to San Marcos.”
Many long-time vendors will remain part of the weekly lineup, joined by new faces, fresh flavors, and creative makers, offering something exciting for every kind of shopper or foodie.
