Two people are in custody after a search warrant was served at a home in the East County.
On Thursday, September 28, deputies from the Sheriff’s Rural Command, Alpine Sheriff’s Station and Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Detail (SED/SWAT), served a search warrant in the 25000 block of Potrero Valley Road in the unincorporated area of Potrero.
The warrant was related to an investigation of an assault with a deadly weapon incident that had occurred several months earlier.

Upon serving the warrant, more than 50 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition were located, including assault-style weapons.
Two suspects were arrested. Richard Dale Fox (DOB 10/10/1972) is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of firearms and felon in possession of ammunition. He was booked into the San Diego Central Jail. Christina Lee Griffin (DOB 08/30/1982) was arrested and booked into the Las Colinas Detention Facility for knowingly furnishing firearms to a prohibited person.
