Sen. Blakespear to Host Community Cleanup in City of Vista

WHAT: Sen. Catherine Blakespear will host a community cleanup event in the City of Vista.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m., Sunday, March 26.

WHERE: Vista Transit Center, 101 Olive Ave., Vista.

WHO: Sen. Blakespear will be joined by City of Vista Deputy Mayor Corinna Contreras, Councilmember Joe Green, Councilmember Katie Melendez, Councilmember Dan O’Donnell and Palomar College President Dr. Star Rivera-Lacey.

WHY: “This event is dedicated to joining friends, family, and neighbors to clean up our treasured public spaces,” said Sen. Blakespear. “All of us deserve to live in thriving, beautiful communities that are free of litter and trash. It takes all of us to make that a reality. That’s why we’re gathering for this event, to work together to instill pride in the community.”

DETAILS: This event is part of Clean California Community Days, a statewide 11-day event promoting opportunities to keep our neighborhoods free of litter. The event is open to the general public and members of the media. Schedule: 8:30 a.m., community expo; 9 a.m., speaking program, followed by cleanup; 11 a.m., Elected in November, Blakespear represents Senate District 38, which covers central and northern coastal San Diego County and part of South Orange County.
