On Nov 7 2019 at about 0847 hours, Traffic Deputies from the San Marcos Station Traffic Division responded to a radio call of a two vehicle no detail collision on W. Borden Road near the intersection of Via Barquero in the City of San Marcos. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a vehicle being driven by a 19 year-old female proceeded eastbound on W. Borden Road approaching the intersection and collided with a vehicle being driven by a 44 year old male who had pulled out in front of her vehicle. The vehicle driven by the female struck the male’s vehicle and then left the roadway, striking a tree in the roadway median.
The female driver suffered a broken right wrist as a result of the collision. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the collision. The San Marcos Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
