An evening of family fun, laughter, and experiencing the amazing abilities of our minds through the world of hypnosis comes back to Oceanside as the Sunshine Brooks Theatre welcomes the return of Dr. Ken’s Seriously Funny Comedy Hypnosis Show for one performance at 8:00 p.m. on Friday March 29th.
Dr. Ken is a real physician, using real hypnosis, to create a really safe and fun show. The performance features audience volunteers who truly want to experience the power of suggestion and the fantastic benefits of hypnosis. The show is fun for all ages from tweens and teens to adults and seniors. While the on-stage volunteers experience actual hypnosis and become the true stars of the show, the remaining audience witnesses the comedic and often hilarious situations and demonstrations presented by Dr. Ken Kern.
“The show is really like an improv performance as each volunteer responds differently, so anything can happen which can result in some great comedic responses and reactions,” says Kern.
Dr. Ken Kern is a licensed medical physician and formally trained entertainment hypnotist based in San Diego. He is a student of the mind. He uses real hypnosis, identical to that used in medical hypnotherapy, to hypnotize volunteers in the stage hypnosis setting.
Dr. Ken was a contestant on America’s Got Talent and has appeared on Jasper & Errol’s First Time on Viceland T.V., at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, The House of Blues in Anaheim, and has even performed with the popular rapper Bad Bunny, as well as at schools, colleges and universities, and corporate events nationwide.
Dr. Ken, a strong supporter of our military, welcomes members of the military and their families as well as veterans to his performance. Dr. Kern is on the Board of Directors of the Devil Pups Youth Program for America, which takes place each summer in conjunction with the US Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California. Since 2015 he has served as a role model and motivational speaker for over 6,000 teenagers, largely from disadvantaged backgrounds. He now serves as the Devil Pup Camp Physician, providing medical oversight in conjunction with Navy Corpsmen to 400 teenagers, ages 14 to 17. He has also written a book on better study habits for teenagers called, “Cracking the Study Code: 101 Ways to Raise Your Grades, Now!”
Dr. Ken’s Comedy Hypnosis Show is a family-family-friendly show that dispels the common misconceptions about hypnosis while exposing the volunteers and audience members to the many great uses, benefits, and applications for self-improvement and empowerment through suggestibility with hypnosis. Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older to volunteer in the show.
