With a Red Ribbon Cutting on Thursday afternoon the recently opened Seven Seas Grill & Bar is “officially open” in Downtown Historic Vista. The Red Ribbon Ceremony, hosted by the Vista Chamber of Commerce, marked the welcome of the newest restaurant to Vista. Vista Chamber CEO Rachel Beld welcomed owner Luis R. Lopez, Jr. and his family to the Vista community, mentioning the opening of the restaurant and the anticipation of many Vista residents who had been waiting for a more formal dining option in the downtown area. The Seven Seas Grill & Bar is not only a sit-down restaurant with both indoor and outdoor eating area but also includes a fish market and a “Grab-&-Go” area where patrons can pick up a quick meal to take home or to other locations. The Seven Seas staff include 37 employees along with Bar Manager Emilio Sanchez, Head Chef Paul Rinaudo, Luis’s father Luis Lopez, Sr. and General Manager Aly Eliason. Prior to the Red Ribbon Cutting Luis spoke to the crowd in attendance, saying how excited he was to be open finally and how much they are looking forward to participating in the Vista business community. Luis and his father also own The Lighthouse Restaurant at the harbor in Oceanside. Luis and his staff were also welcomed to Vista with proclamations and certificates from representatives from Congressman Mike Levin’s Office, State Senator Catherine Blakespear’s Office, Assembly Member Laurie Davies Office and the Vista City Council.
