On Thursday, June 25, deputies and detectives from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station, along with Sheriff’s Detectives from the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF), conducted an apprehension operation at a hotel in San Marcos.
Carlo Quinonez (DOB: 12/07/1972) was a suspect in an ongoing narcotics sales investigation. During the investigation, detectives learned that Quinonez was interested in soliciting sexual services from a juvenile. Eventually, Quinonez agreed to meet at a specified location to engage in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. Upon arrival, detectives contacted Quinonez. He was found in possession of various controlled substances and paraphernalia, demonstrating his intention to have a sexual encounter.
Quinonez was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on charges of narcotics sales and transportation (11378 HS & 11379(A) HS), soliciting/arranging sex from a minor (288.4 (B) PC & 288.3 PC), as well as committing a felony while on bail (12022.1 PC). Quinonez remains in custody without bail.
