VISTA, California, February 26, 2026—Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland recently delivered supplies of infant car seats and booster seats, as well as diapers, blankets and children’s shoes, to One Safe Place Family Justice Center in San Marcos. The Center accepted the donations through its onsite partner, Palomar Health Foundation. Women fleeing domestic violence and trafficking often arrive at One Safe Place with their small children and only the clothes on their back, leaving any car seats they may have owned behind. “It’s an ongoing need,” explained Taraneh Sarebanha, Assistant Executive Director of One Safe Place. “At times officers will bring families from the scene of a crime and the families do not have enough car seats available to travel safely from our center to a shelter or other safe housing, so our partners are paramount to providing that support for children and infants.” The Vista-based Soroptimist club is encouraging more donations of new car seats to Palomar Health Foundation for One Safe Place and members will gladly deliver them to the Center.
