Submissions Open for Oceanside Museum of Art’s 5th Annual ‘Teeny Tiny Art Mart’

Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is excited to announce the 5th annual Teeny Tiny Art Mart, showcasing hundreds of miniature 5×5-inch artworks by artists across Southern California – ranging from renowned talent to local community members. Artists across the region are encouraged to submit works for the Teeny Tiny Art Mart by January 12. This year’s exhibition runs from February 5–March 2, with the virtual sale kicking off on February 9 at 6:00 PM.

The Teeny Tiny Art Mart celebrates accessibility and inclusivity in the art world, offering every piece of original art at a uniform price of $25. Buyers won’t know the artist behind the work until after purchase, adding a unique element of surprise to democratize the art buying experience.

This year’s exhibition will feature an impressive roster of local artists as well as emerging talent, ensuring a diverse and exciting selection. 100% of proceeds from the sale directly benefit OMA’s educational programs, helping provide transformative art experiences for thousands of students and community members each year.

The submission deadline for artworks to be considered for the show is January 12th by 5:00 pm, with artworks accepted in person or by mail. Artists at every level are encouraged to submit, and artwork can be created with any materials as long as it is exactly 5″ x 5″. The OMA Museum Store is offering Teeny Tiny Art Kits (complete with brushes and a 5″ x 5″ canvas) to encourage community involvement.

This inclusive event encourages artists of all skill levels and backgrounds to participate, reinforcing the museum’s key themes for its 2025 exhibition season, including celebrating the joy and beauty of creative expression, while also reinforcing OMA’s mission of bringing people together to explore the art and stories of living Southern California artists.
