Vista, CA – The City of Vista’s Wave Waterparkopens its doors in December for the second annual Penguin Plunge on Sat., Dec. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Wave’s icy towers invites the bravest to take a slide into an ice filled pool of water. This event is free for participants and spectators and will be held at The Wave, 101 Wave Dr., Vista.
Slide participants must be at least 42” tall and each will receive a Plunge certificate, Wave water bottle, and 2020 summer Wave admission ticket. There will be a raffle for fabulous prizes you may purchase. Raffle tickets are $2 each, or three tickets for$5.
Raffle prizes include:
• One small Wave cabana and a Big Squirt
• Two reserved lawn tickets for a Friday or Saturday night for one summer season show at The Moonlight in 2020
• Two orchestra seats for any one 2020 Moonlight Presents show
• One 2020 Wave Season Pass and a Big Squirt
• GRAND PRIZE: four pack of Wave tickets, small cabana, and a big squirt
Everyone can participate in the arts and crafts table, and the Wave will be selling hot chocolate.
“We invite everyone to come down to take the plunge or see those brave enough to take a dip into our chilly pool,” said Wave Waterpark General Manager Angela Palasik.
“We encourage plungers to come out in holiday attire, and to also challenge their friends and co-workers to brave the waters.”

ABOUT THE WAVE WATERPARK
The Wave Waterpark is the City of Vista’s popular summertime attraction recently celebrating its 25th year.
