Oceanside, Calif. — Aug. 3, 2022: Oceanside’s original tasting event returns this fall to Downtown Oceanside. MainStreet Oceanside presents the Eighth Annual Taste of Oceanside. On Saturday, Oct. 1, from 2-5 p.m., come taste your way through Oceanside’s exciting food and brew scene — one bite and sip at a time.
Attendees can walk or ride their bikes to each participating venue — or take the Taste Trolley — to sample local handcrafted cuisine and, optionally, beverages by the restaurants, brewers and wineries that have made Oceanside one of the leading foodie destinations in North County San Diego. Along the way, tasters will have the chance to explore Downtown restaurants and retail businesses while enjoying musical performances throughout the district.
Now on sale, tickets are limited for this rain-or-shine event, which sold out in 2019 and 2021. Available at tasteofoceanside.com and the MainStreet Oceanside office, 701 Mission Ave., advance food tasting tickets are $45, and food and beverage tasting combo tickets, $60, for attendees who are 21 and over. Attendees who purchase online will automatically save $5 on all tickets through Aug. 15.
The Taste of Oceanside VIP Experience will also be returning this year with the Third Annual Taste of Oceanside VIP Party from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, on the rooftop of Pierside South. VIP tickets, which include a Taste of Oceanside combo ticket, are $125.
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will be donated to the North County Food Bank. Based in San Marcos, the North County Food Bank provides food assistance to working-poor families, fixed-income seniors, low-income military families and children living in poverty in communities throughout North County.
Taste of Oceanside will continue to promote zero waste in Oceanside by giving a commemorative spork and reusable tasting cup to each attendee. Provided by event sponsor Green Oceanside, the commemorative Taste of Oceanside spork and branded cup will eliminate the addition of over 20,000 plastic items to the landfill.
MainStreet is accepting applications from local restaurants, tasting rooms, breweries and wineries and Downtown Oceanside retail businesses through Aug. 30.
