OCEANSIDE, October 7, 2026 – The popular Día de los Muertos Festival, honoring the lives of ancestors, returns to Downtown Oceanside on Sunday, October 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For 25 years, the annual Oceanside Día de los Muertos Festival has welcomed visitors and locals to the vibrant, culturally-rich Oceanside neighborhood for a free, outdoor, family-friendly event taking place to commemorate the Mexican and Latin traditions. Festival attendees will enjoy live music, food, family-friendly activities, traditional Latin American artisans, an interactive chalk cemetery, children’s interactive activities and stunning altars— including vehicle altars featured in the Por Siempre Car Club Show.

Thank you to our All-Volunteer Board: President Chema Navarro has been an integral part of the event and the Por Siempre Car Show at Oceanside Dia since 2009, numerous years with Oceanside’s Noche Mexicana Festival and numerous other events throughout Southern California.
Thank you to our Sponsors this year: MainStreet Oceanside, Mellano Flower Company, Radio Latina, First 5 San Diego, Calaveras Energy Drinks, Mission Federal Credit Union and Waste Management.

Día de los Muertos is a Mexican national holiday that celebrates the joys of life and offers an opportunity to honor loved ones who have passed away. “We are proud to continue with this 25-year-tradition of celebrating Día de los Muertos. It’s very exciting to bring the Oceanside community together and share the beauty of this Mexican cultural tradition,” said Chema Navarro with Friends of Oceanside Dia de los Muertos. “We are honoring the memories of dearly departed through art, culture and performances.”

This event is made possible by sponsorships from local businesses and active community members, including Radio Latina, Mellano & Company, First 5 San Diego, and Mission Federal Credit Union. Family Friendly activities continue to be provided by our Community Partners: City of Oceanside Library Adelanto Bookmobile, Crown Heights North County Lifeline Young Adults, Studio Ace and Home Depot.
