(Vista, CA–) The Boys & Girls Club of Vista has provided local youth a safe place to learn, make friends, have fun, and grow since 1963. The Boys & Girls Club of Vista provides a safe and positive place year round for over 1,200 Club members offering comfort in times of need, academic support and a place to celebrate their successes.

Please join us on March 7, 2020 at the Westin Carlsbad Resort and Spa for our 10th Annual Diamond Gala. This year’s event “007 A License to Give” will feature a sumptuous dinner, live entertainment by Club Members, silent and live auctions, music, and casino style games. We need your help to raise $125,000! The funds raised at this event will enable us to continue to provide the youth we serve with the life-changing support they need to prepare for great futures.

“We’re looking forward to a fabulous evening supporting some great kids” says Shelley Zimmerman, former San Diego Chief of Police and honorary chair, “Safe, engaging, and affordable programs like those offered by the Club can make a huge impact in our community. I am honored to be a part of this event.”

The emcee for the evening is Mari Payton. Mari is an Emmy Award Winning anchor and senior investigative reporter for NBC7 San Diego. Sponsors for the evening include U.S. Bank, Watkins Wellness and Forte for Children.

We will also get to hear from our Youth of the Year, Jimena, an 11th grader at Guajome Park Academy, who credits the Club for helping her develop confidence and leadership skills.

“I was ten when I started coming to the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. Thanks to the Club, I gained people skills by participating in theater and dance. Through the Leaders in Training program, I have learned how to lead through service among my peers at the Club.”

Tickets are available for $225 per person; $1,500 per table of eight. Doors open at 5:30. To order tickets visit https://www.bgcvista.org or contact Ellen Clark ellen@bgcvista.com or 760-295-5933. Sponsorships are available.
