The Vista Conservancy, together with the Monarch Group and the City of Vista’s Public Works Dept. have all been working hard to finish up the newly completed trail extension along The Vista Conservancy’s Walking Trail, and we are so excited to announce that the entire walking trail, including the extension, is now open!
For almost 18 months, nearly 1/3 of the trail had been fenced off and was off-limits as construction got underway on the 179 unit Monarch Buena Vista apartment complex along E. Vista Way. And while construction is not yet complete on the apartment buildings, the freshly planted landscaping that borders the trail is far enough along that the developer agreed to open the newest section of the nature trail that extends westward from Townsite to Wildwood Park; meaning trail users can once again walk, jog or cycle the full length of the oak-lined trail from Brengle Terrace Park to Wildwood Park.
