In studies they found that the old adage “it’s better to give than to receive” is correct: spending money on others or giving to charity puts a bigger smile on your face than buying things for yourself. With that in mind, let the following opportunities in Carlsbad Village help put a big grin on your face:
Stuff The Bus
Saturday, December 11th
Bring new, unwrapped toys to the Boys and Girls Clubhouse from 10am to 3pm and stuff the bus with Christmas Cheer for local families that need help this holiday season. Click Stuff The Bus for more information.
Donate to Carol’s House
Wednesday, December 8th
From 2:30pm to 6:00pm, bring new, unwrapped toys to the State Street Farmers’ Market and drop them into the drop box at the intersection of State St. and Grand Ave. at the Farmers’ Market Information Table and receive a $1.00 off coupon for every toy. BLOC (downtown’s co-working office space) has partnered with Carol’s House this holiday season. Carol’s House is a local emergency domestic violence shelter in North County. You can help bring some much deserved joy to families in transition.
Donate to Toys For Tots
