Oceanside, Calif. — Sept. 2, 2021:
From an evening on a premier rooftop to an afternoon at the restaurants and shops of Downtown Oceanside, treat yourself to a weekend full of the very best of Downtown Oceanside! Returning for 2021, the Taste of Oceanside VIP Experience offers attendees of Downtown Oceanside’s premier culinary experience back-to-back tastings with the Second Annual Taste of Oceanside VIP Party on Friday, Oct. 1 and the Taste of Oceanside on Saturday, Oct. 2.

From 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 1, the returning Taste of Oceanside VIP Party will feature a special Oceanside guest chef with live entertainment and light fare on the roof of Pierside South. Enjoy an elevated evening with Chef Luke Dorsey and the food of Orfila Vineyards Tasting Room & Kitchen, cocktails by Señor Grubby’s and music by Jason Brown.

Limited VIP tickets, which include food and beverage combo admission to Taste of Oceanside on Oct. 2 from 2-5 p.m., are $125 on TasteofOceanside.com. Media and social media influencers: RSVP with Gumaro Escarcega at Gumaro@MainStreetOceanside.com to attend and learn the stories of our Downtown Oceanside businesses.

MainStreet Oceanside’s signature annual tasting event, Taste of Oceanside will give attendees the opportunity to taste their way through Oceanside’s exciting food and brew scene — one bite and sip at a time. Attendees can walk or ride their bikes to each participating venue — or take a double decker bus — to sample local handcrafted cuisine and, optionally, beverages by the restaurants, brewers and wineries that have made Oceanside one of the leading foodie destinations in North County San Diego.

Limited tickets are available for Taste of Oceanside, which sold out in 2019. Advance food tasting tickets can be purchased for $45, and food and beverage combo tickets for ages 21 and up, $60, at TasteofOceanside.com and the Main Street Oceanside office, 701 Mission Ave. If any tickets remain the day of, they can be purchased for $50 and $65 at the attendee check-in booth at Civic Center Plaza, 300 N. Coast Highway.

A portion of all Taste of Oceanside proceeds will be donated to the North County Food Bank to provide meals to North County residents in need. Based in San Marcos, the North County Food Bank provides food assistance to working-poor families, fixed-income seniors, low-income military families and children living in poverty in communities throughout North County. Nonperishable food donations will also be accepted at Taste of Oceanside.

Taste of Oceanside will continue to promote zero waste in Oceanside by giving a reusable spork to each attendee, as well as a reusable sip cup to attendees who purchase combo tickets. These two commemorative gifts are provided by event sponsor Green Oceanside. The uniquely embossed Taste of Oceanside spork will eliminate the addition of over 20,000 plastic utensils and the cup, over 7,000 2-ounce to 4-ounce plastic cups, to our landfill.

MainStreet would like to thank event sponsors Green Oceanside, Oceanside Adventures, City of Oceanside, Frontwave Credit Union and Energy Upgrade California for their support.

MainStreet Oceanside is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a pedestrian-friendly community with unique and exciting attractions, including both daytime and evening activities, for residents and visitors alike.
