Assemblywoman Laurie Davies
I am pleased to share that the State Department of Health Care Access and Information has awarded its top zero-interest loan amount of $33 million to TriCity Medical Center in Oceanside. Loan dollars are from California’s Distressed Hospital Loan Program created by the State Legislature with the Governor to provide funds for community hospitals in critical situations. With news of the labor and delivery department closing at Tri-City in an effort to cut costs, I connected with administration to ensure plans were in place to right this ship.
Hospital administration has indicated that this much-needed, critical, emergency funding will get them over the crisis, and they have sound plans to ensure doors stay open for the community long into the future. I was pleased to support their efforts to seek this funding.
