San Marcos, CA—TrueCare, a nonprofit community health center serving North San Diego and South Riverside counties, is proud to announce the opening of its newest QuickCare location in San Marcos. Opening February 5, the new center will provide same-day, non-emergency health care while the existing QuickCare location on Grand Avenue will transition to offer Family Medicine services.
Conveniently located just south of CA-78, off the Rancho Santa Fe exit (295 S Rancho Santa Fe Rd, San Marcos, CA 92078) this QuickCare facility will deliver high-quality, accessible care without the typical “urgent care” experience. This 4,000-square-foot facility features eight exam rooms and an on-site lab, and plans to introduce X-ray services later in 2025, enabling patients to receive care quickly and efficiently. The center will operate Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will close daily from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch.
This site will replace TrueCare’s existing San Marcos QuickCare location (1595 Grand Ave., Suite 106, San Marcos, CA 92078). The Grand Avenue location will be repurposed to Family Medicine to ensure more patients have access to a medical home and ongoing preventative care, not just for acute reasons as they come up. This change will enhance access to long-term health management for individuals and families in the community.
“This facility represents a vital step forward in our ongoing expansion initiative and ensuring our patients continue to receive convenient, affordable, and accessible care,” says Michelle Gonzalez, CEO of TrueCare. “Our goal is not only to provide high-quality health care, but to build meaningful relationships with our patients, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered throughout their health journey. As we continue to grow our impact, we remain committed to our mission of providing compassionate, accessible, and culturally sensitive health care for all.”
TrueCare’s QuickCare facilities treat a broad range of symptoms, conditions and injuries that don’t require emergency action or specialist care. These include treatment for flu, colds, coughs, and other respiratory conditions. Patients can also receive care for skin conditions as well as minor injuries like sprains, fractures, and burns. On-site testing is available for flu, strep, urinary tract infections (UTIs), sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and COVID-19. The center also offers COVID-19 treatment and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) prescriptions.
“The relocation of services at our West San Marcos QuickCare and addition of a new family medicine facility is part of our ongoing commitment to provide more access points and a greater impact on the lives of those we serve.” says Briana Cardoza, chief business development officer at TrueCare. “This new location will help us expand our reach and provide critical services to even more individuals and families in our diverse communities.”
