Update – Three Suspects Arrested for the July 31st Shooting at Holiday Park

CARLSBAD, Calif. — On Monday, September 13, the City of Carlsbad Police Department arrested three men suspected of being involved in the July 31 shooting in the 3300 block of Eureka Avenue that resulted in one fatality and one seriously injured male.

With the assistance of the San Francisco Police Department, officers arrested 34-year-old Christopher Burlie, 21-year-old Abraham Gomez and 19-year-old Solomon Jackson, all from Arkansas, in the 1500 block of Lombard Street in San Francisco.

The trio were arrested for homicide and attempted homicide. They are currently being held in the San Francisco County Jail pending extradition back to San Diego County.

The investigation revealed a brief altercation between the victims and the suspects turned violent. The investigation into the cause of the altercation is ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.

Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at Holiday Park

CARLSBAD, Calif. — On July 31 at 11:06 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at Holiday Park, located at 3300 Eureka Place.

Responding officers found a 28-year-old female suffering from at least one gunshot wound and a 27-year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Fire Department medics rendered medical aid and transported the victims to a local area hospital where the male was admitted for care. Despite life saving measures by medics, the female victim was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
