A wanted felon suspected of attacking his girlfriend and a Good Samaritan which led to an hours-long standoff in Vista last month has been arrested.

On Tuesday, March 8 around 12:30 p.m., 34-year-old Ulysses Ramos (pictured above) was spotted as a passenger in a ride-sharing car in the 1000 block of N Santa Fe Avenue by deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station. Deputies conducted a traffic stop, but Ramos ran out of the car and into a nearby neighborhood. Deputies caught up to him on foot and arrested Ramos without incident.

Ramos was also found to be in possession of large quantities of methamphetamine and “M30” fentanyl pills.

On February 27, a Good Samaritan saw Ramos attacking his girlfriend outside a home in the 100 block of W Indian Rock Road in Vista. He later attacked the Good Samaritan with a chain. Deputies set up a perimeter outside of Ramos’ home, but later found he was no longer inside. Read our previous news release here.
