Driver killed in head-on crash.

A driver is dead after a vehicle collision in Vista.
On Thursday, September 28 just before 7:00 a.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a collision between two cars in the 400 block of N. Melrose Drive in Vista.
A Chevy traveling northbound drifted into the southbound lane and collided with a Toyota head-on. Life saving measures were attempted on the driver of the Chevy, but he died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was not injured.
Northbound and southbound traffic lanes between Copper Drive and Olive Avenue on N. Melrose Drive were closed for several hours. At this time, it is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team is handling the investigation.

Conductor muere en choque frontal.
Un conductor muere tras una colisión vehicular en Vista.
El Jueves 28 de Septiembre, poco antes de las 7:00 a.m., los oficiales del Vista Sheriff’s Station respondieron a una colisión entre dos automóviles en la cuadra 400 de N. Melrose Drive en Vista.
Un Chevy que viajaba en dirección norte se desvió hacia el carril en dirección sur y chocó de frente con un Toyota. Se intentaron medidas para salvar la vida del conductor del Chevy, pero murió en el lugar. El conductor del Toyota no resultó herido.
Los carriles de tráfico en dirección norte y sur entre Copper Drive y Olive Avenue en N. Melrose Drive estuvieron cerrados durante varias horas. Hasta el momento se desconoce si el alcohol o las drogas influyeron en la colisión. El Equipo de Reconstrucción de Accidentes de Tráfico (STAR) del Alguacil está a cargo de la investigación.
