I’m Koko, the new Workforce Specialist Coordinator at the Vista Chamber of Commerce. As summer approaches, we are excited to announce another year of hosting the Velocity Summer Student Internship Program! This program has been a great success in the past: we believe it provides a valuable opportunity for local businesses to engage with talented students in our community while contributing to their professional growth.
Program Details:
– Business must be a current member of the Vista Chamber
– Interest forms are open; they close on April 11th at 11:59pm
– Internships are open to current High School Juniors, class of 2026
– Students will complete 100 hours between June 9 – August 8
– The Vista Chamber will cover intern’s pay for those 100 hours.
– Businesses must provide the students with a position with valuable insight in the industry desired.
– Businesses interview students and select an intern, as would with any other position.
– Position cannot be home based. If your business is home based position must be virtual or remote.
– Students are not permitted to ride in cars or work vehicles.
