Victim Suffers Gunshot Wound in Armed Robbery

In the early morning hours of Sunday, November 4, 2022, at approximately 4:25 am, Oceanside Police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the AM/PM located at 1990 Oceanside Boulevard. Officers located an adult male employee at the location suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. No suspects were located in the immediate area.
Preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects described as Hispanic male adults approximately 20-25 years of age, 5’10” with medium build entered the store and demanded cash from the register. Suspect 1 wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes and was armed with a black semi-auto handgun. Suspect 2 wore a gray New Balance hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black shoes. The suspects entered the store and ordered the victim to provide money from the register as suspect 1 pointed a gun at the victim. The victim attempted to chase the suspects out of the location armed with a stick when
suspect 1 shot the victim, striking him in the stomach. The suspects then left the location with an undisclosed amount of cash.
