Vista and Moonlight Take Center Stage on Disney + Show “Encore”

The City of Vista, the Gloria McClellan Senior Center, Moonlight Amphitheatre, and the AVO Playhouse are serving as a backdrop for the Kristen Bell series “Encore” on the just launched Disney Plus streaming service.
Episode one features the cast of Santana High School’s 1996 cast of “Annie” reunited to produce the show once more. The production company behind the series spent a week in Vista in March with several Vista locales serving as a backdrop. The week culminated in a truncated version of “Annie” for an invited audience at the AVO Playhouse.

The cast was peppered with support of local actors Ricky Bulda, Gigi Coddington, Lauren Haughton, Shane Mims, Amanda Naughton, Bethany Slomka, and Michael Starr as well as area musicians, technicians, and local stage manager Nathan Harper.
