11-Year old Victor “Tony Boy” Villagomez represented the Vista Boxing Club across the border this weekend in Mexicali, Baja California. Over 1,000 boxers from Mexico, Canada and the USA, went toe to toe at the Battle of the Border International Boxing Championships.
Victor Villagomez competed against two of Mexico’s best in the 28 kg division. Victor showed why he is currently ranked #1 in the US, defeating both his opponents by Unanimous Decision to win his first ever international tournament. Victor will continue to train and remain ready for the US National Boxing Championships in December.
